Welcome musicians, groups, listeners or readers, to an indie music blog where the noble rooted sounds are not only appreciated, but also reviewed, celebrated and shared with the world, getting them be known especially in all spanish speaking countries and so spreading the echoes of new singers and bands that somehow feature the classic aroma in their songs.

Therefore, as an indie artist or group, if your music has that unmistakable and fine aroma of the Rock roots, even being -like it is- today’s music (enjoyed for so many people), I’ll give it the attention that deserves, because noble sound never die!

A clear example of a succesful indie group, doing deeply rooted music and having a worldwide recognicement is, without a doubt, She & Him. But any good artist or band can find their right place in this sonorous universe. And appearing in this selective blog contributes on that direction.

Now, what does it mean in this blog «Rock roots», or -in another way-, what roots this gardener admires and cultivates? Well, just those pure and true musical styles or streams that – in mid twentieth century- mixed and melted together to origin what we now call simply Rock.

In general terms, we can say that those fundamental roots are: blues, R&B and country, aswell as godspell, traditional or standard pop, jazz and folk. From this first great mix, soon or almost simultaneously we have genres and sub-genres like soul, R&R, rockabilly or doo wop, and then merseybeat, funky, blues-rock, folk-rock, country-rock, jazz-rock and also psychedelic, symphonic rock…

Anyway and no matter about races, countries or beliefs, if your music feels like «rooted» someway, then you are in the right place.

Altough born in the mid seventies, Rock Gardener have been -since he was 14- listenning, enjoying, loving and deeping in many great classic acts of Rock, mainly from the 60’s and 50’s. Now he starts this musical blogger adventure, with the intention of becoming a growing avenue of prestigious diffusion for the most genuine and rooted independent music of today.

¿Qué es Rooted Sounds?

Bienvenidos músicos, grupos, oyentes o lectores, a un blog de música indie donde no solo se aprecian los nobles sonidos enraizados, sino que también son revisados, celebrados y compartidos con el mundo, dándolos a conocer especialmente en todos los países de habla hispana, difundiendo así los ecos de nuevos cantantes y bandas que de alguna manera destilan un aroma clásico en sus canciones.

Por lo tanto, como un artista o grupo indie, si tu música tiene ese inconfundible y fino aroma de las raíces del Rock, incluso siendo -como es- música actual (disfrutada por tanta gente), le daré la atención que merece , porque el sonido noble nunca muere!

Un ejemplo claro de un grupo indie exitoso, haciendo música profundamente arraigada y teniendo un reconocimiento mundial es, sin duda, She & Him. Pero cualquier buen artista o banda puede encontrar su justo lugar en este universo sonoro. Y aparecer en este selectivo blog contribuye en esa dirección.

Ahora bien, ¿qué significa en este blog «raíces del rock», o -de otra forma-, ¿qué raíces admira y cultiva este jardinero? Bien, sólo aquellos puros y auténticos estilos musicales o corrientes que -a mediados del siglo XX- se fundieron y mezclaron para originar lo que ahora llamamos simplemente Rock.

En términos generales, podemos decir que esas raíces fundamentales son: blues, R & B y country, así como godspell, pop tradicional o estándar, jazz y folk. De esta primera gran mezcla, pronto o casi simultáneamente tenemos géneros y subgéneros como soul, R & R, rockabilly o doo wop, y luego merseybeat, funky, blues-rock, folk-rock, country-rock, jazz rook y rock psicodélico, sinfónico…

De todos modos y sin importar razas, países o creencias, si tu música se siente como «enraizada» de alguna manera, entonces estás en el lugar correcto.

Aunque nacido a mediados de los años setenta, Rock Gardener ha estado -desde los 14- escuchando, disfrutando, adorando y profundizando en muchos grandes clásicos del rock, principalmente de los años 60 y 50.  Ahora él comienza esta aventura musical bloguera, con la intención de devenir una creciente vía de difusión prestigiosa para la más genuina y enraizada música independiente de hoy en día.
